Whether you are creating videos or photos, the process for finding and applying for jobs on JoinBrands follows the same flow. This article covers everything in one place.
Step 1: Get Certified
Before applying for any job on JoinBrands, you need to complete the relevant certification for that content type. Certifications can be found in your Certifications Tab.
Below is a summary of each certification and how you can get certified for each.

📓 Once your certification is approved, you will be able to apply for all jobs under that content type.
Step 2: Find Jobs in the Marketplace
All available jobs can be found in the Marketplace tab. Here is how to filter for the job type you are looking for:
For video jobs — Select the content type Videos, then use the filter option to choose the specific video type you want (e.g., Product Review, Unboxing, How-To).
For photo jobs — Select the content type Photos, then use the filter to choose the specific photo type (e.g., Lifestyle Shot, Product Only Image).
Once you find a job you are interested in, click the job name to expand the details and review the full description. Make sure you can deliver exactly what the brand requires before applying.
When you are ready, click Apply to this Job.
📓 Brands typically select creators within 1-2 business days of the job going live.
⚠️ Before accepting any job, carefully read the full instructions to make sure you understand the requirements and are confident you can deliver the content the brand expects.
Step 3: Place Your Order
Once you have been selected for a job, the next step depends on the delivery method set by the brand:
Reimbursement jobs
You will need to purchase the product and submit your order number within 48 hours of accepting the job. If the order number is not added within this window, the job will be automatically cancelled.
Shipped by Brand
The brand will ship the product directly to you. Wait for it to arrive before proceeding.
No Shipping Needed
No product is required. You can proceed directly to content creation.
Step 4: Create and Submit Your Content
Once you have received the product, create your content and upload it to JoinBrands.
General Best Practices for All Content:
Use your back camera and wipe the lens before filming or shooting.
Ensure good lighting and a clean setup.
Follow the job description carefully and meet all stated requirements.
The product label must be readable left-to-right and not mirrored.
For video content specifically:
Use a waist-high table so both you and the product are visible.
Speak to the camera where possible.
Use natural sound only unless otherwise instructed.
⚠️ Do not add background music or subtitles unless specifically requested, and avoid using any watermarks.
⚠️ Content must be created and submitted by you personally. Submissions made by anyone other than you will not be accepted and may negatively impact your account.
Step 5: Brand Review and Approval
Once your content is submitted and approved by our processing team, the brand has a 10-day window to either approve it or request revisions.
📓 If a brand remains unresponsive and doesn't review any of the content within that window, the system will automatically select one for them and the job will move forward.
Step 6: Get Paid
Once the brand approves your content, payment is sent automatically to your JoinBrands wallet. You can withdraw funds at any time via PayPal.
📓 You can submit additional upsell content on eligible jobs and will be paid extra if the brand purchases it.
