Want to talk to a creator before you hire them? With Direct chats, you can start a conversation with any creator from the Creators Marketplace, no campaign or job needed. 💬
💡 What Are Direct Chats?
Direct chats let you reach out to a creator straight from the Creators Marketplace. Use them to introduce your brand, ask about a creator's availability, or talk about a collaboration before you send an invite.
🚀 How to Start a Direct Chat
Open the Creators Marketplace.
Open a creator's profile, or find their card in the list.
Click the chat option to message them.
If your company has several brands, choose which brand the chat comes from.
Write your first message and send it. The conversation then appears in your chat list with all your other chats.
💳 Plans and Limits
Direct chats come with our paid plans. Each plan includes a number of new direct chats per month:
Start-Up: 50 new direct chats per month
Pro: 250 new direct chats per month
Max: 1,000 new direct chats per month
⚠️ Heads up: Direct chats are not available on the free Pay-as-you-go plan.
✅ What doesn't count toward your limit: reopening a chat you already have, or messaging a creator your company has already completed a job with.
You can compare plans on our pricing page and in the plan comparison inside the app.
👀 What Creators See
Your chat appears under the Direct filter in the creator's chat list, on the website and in the mobile app.
Creators can block your company from messaging them directly. This only stops new direct chats and doesn't affect your jobs or invites with them.
🌟 Pro-tip: make your first message clear and specific. Mention the product, what you're looking for and the payout, so the creator can answer quickly. Keep all communication on JoinBrands, in line with our platform guidelines.
