JoinBrands - Account Deletion Policy
As a user of JoinBrands, you have the right to delete your account and the associated data at any time. This page provides clear instructions on how you can request the deletion of your account and outlines what happens to your data once your account is deleted.
Steps to Delete Your Account:
Open the JoinBrands App: Launch the app on your device.
If you're not already logged in, please enter your credentials to access your account.
Click on the Person icon located at the right bottom corner of the app interface.
Tap on the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top right corner of the screen.
Select “Delete Account” from the menu.
Confirm you want to delete your account.
Data Deletion and Retention:
Upon the deletion of your account, JoinBrands will remove or anonymize your personal information and other associated data from our servers. This includes but is not limited to:
Your name
Your address
Your Email(s)
Your profile page
What is not deleted :
Content uploaded to jobs
Any messages/data provided in the chat with brands.
Retention:
Immediate Deletion: Once you initiate the account deletion process, JoinBrands will begin the process of removing your personal information and associated data from our active databases. This process is typically completed within 24 hours of your deletion request.
Backup Retention: For operational integrity and to comply with our data protection and recovery protocols, your data will remain in our encrypted backups for a period of 6 months. It's important to note that:
Encryption: All backups are securely stored using robust encryption methods. This means that your data, even while retained, is safeguarded against unauthorized access.
Non-Usage: Data stored in backups is not actively used or accessed. It is retained purely for the purpose of system restoration in case of data loss or system failure.
Final Deletion: After the 6-month period, your data will be permanently deleted from our backup systems, ensuring that your information is no longer stored in any form in our systems.
Why We Retain Backups: The retention of backups for a limited period is a standard practice in the industry. It ensures that in the event of a system failure, we can restore service without significant data loss, which is critical for both our users and the functionality of our service.
