💬 What Are Counter Offers?
When you invite a creator to a job, they now have the option to submit a counter offer — basically, they can negotiate for a higher payout than what you originally proposed. It's a simple way for creators to share the value they think they'll bring to your campaign.
🚀 How It Works
Send an invitation — invite a creator to your job as usual. ✉️
Get a counter offer notification — if the creator wants to negotiate, you'll get a notification letting you know they've submitted a counter offer. You might also see a custom pitch video or past work showcasing why they're asking for more. 🎬
Review and decide:
✅ Accept — the creator gets the new rate they requested.
❌ Reject — the creator can still take the job at your original price if they choose.
📋 What Happens After You Respond
If you accept — the creator's payout automatically updates to the counter offer amount. 💸
If you reject — the creator can still accept your original offer if they want to proceed.
📍 Where to Find Counter Offers
You'll find them right inside your campaign — head to the Counter Offer section.
Click on a counter offer to dive in:
A side panel will slide out on the right where you can preview the creator's pitch and either approve or reject the counter offer. ✨ This new feature opens up a real negotiation between you and JoinBrands creators — an easy way for both sides to agree on what feels fair.
⚠️ Counter Offer Limits: creators can submit a counter offer of up to 5× the original payout (e.g., on a $100 job, the max counter is $500). 💡 Good to know: only Level 2 and Level 3 creators can submit counter offers!
⚠️ Important: if your campaign has 10 jobs and you accept a counter offer for an 11th, you'll be billed for that 11th job.
📓 Availability: Counter offers are available for Content + Posting, Content Only, and Social Blast campaigns.
📓 Note: Counter-offers on Retainer campaigns work differently — see Brands: How to create a Retainer campaign for the retainer-specific flow.
