Before anything else, make sure you’ve received the product from the brand. You’ll need it on hand to create a valuable, authentic livestream that showcases the product properly.

📅 Scheduling Your TikTok LIVE

Once your product has arrived, it’s time to schedule your live session. Here's how:

  1. Open the TikTok app.

  2. Tap the "+" button at the bottom of your screen to create.

  3. Swipe to the LIVE tab.

  4. Tap Live Center in the top right corner.

  5. Scroll down and select “LIVE Events” → then tap “Create an event.”

You’ll be asked to enter some details:

  • Event Name: You can include the brand or product name here to stay organized.

  • Date & Time: Choose a time that works for you and aligns with your best engagement window.

  • Duration: This is very important — your livestream must run for at least as long as the time the brand ordered. If the brand booked 15 minutes, make sure your event is scheduled for at least 15 minutes.

  • Type: Select “Shoppable LIVE”.

  • Description: Write a short, engaging sentence or two about what the live will feature.

Once you’ve created the event:

  • Tap Share.

  • Tap Copy link.

  • Paste this link into the “Live Event link” field on your JoinBrands account.

🎬 Step 2: During the Live – Engage & Deliver

This is your moment to shine! You’ve scheduled your event, the brand is ready, and your audience is waiting.

  • Be punctual. Starting late can reduce your visibility and may result in under-delivery, which could affect your campaign status.

  • Consider being live 2–3 minutes early, just to give yourself buffer time.

🗣 What to Do During the Live

The goal is to make the product feel exciting, trustworthy, and useful to your viewers. Here are a few things you can do:

  • Greet viewers as they join — even a simple “Hey friends! Welcome!” creates a friendly vibe.

  • Show the product in action — demonstrate how to use it, unbox it, or style it.

  • Talk about the benefits — what problem does it solve? Why do you like it?

  • Use clear calls-to-action (CTAs) — for example:

💾 Step 3: After the Live – Download the Recording

After your livestream ends, you’ll need to download a clip of it as proof for the brand.

  1. Open TikTok.

  3. Tap Live Center again.

  4. Select LIVE Recordings → then go to Highlights & Clips.

  5. Find your recorded event from today.

  6. Tap the video → then select Download Clip.

This will save the video to your device. Make sure the clip shows that you:

  • Were live for at least the booked duration.

  • Featured the product clearly.

  • Engaged with your audience.

Now that you’ve got your recording, it’s time to submit it for review and complete your campaign!

  1. Go to your JoinBrands dashboard.

  2. Open the campaign you just completed.

  3. Look for the “Proof of Live” section.

  4. Click Upload, choose your downloaded clip, and hit Submit.

You’re all set! The JoinBrands team will review your submission, and you’ll be marked complete once it passes.
